I was walking along Beach Road in Singapore and these skyscrapers caught my eyes, The Gateway and Suntec City in Singapore. Of course, these buildings have been around for ages and I have seen them almost week-in and week-out but somehow, it gave me a striking strong impression on that day. I was marveling at the architecture of these buildings especially so, I was standing at the middle of Beach Road waiting to cross the juncture. The sky was also clear and that really gave me a good nice view.

By the way, I have been exercising and working out non-stop since last Sunday. It was great as I covered 14km from Sunday till Thursday as well as work with weights for two evenings. I also had badminton yesterday. Now, my body really ached and tired....hahaha ... I especially welcome the short break during this long weekend. And yeah, since most of the eateries are closed after 9.30pm, I gotta settled for my favourite Aglio Olio tonight.

Have a good weekend and enjoy your holidays. To my Muslims readers, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!!! :)

I passed by the Bugis area and I thought the place was beautiful at night. Thus, I decided to help myself with some snapping of the night sceneries. There was not much changes except opening of a new MRT line and new shopping centre to that place for the last decade but then, it was always crowded and bustling!

Landmark Village Hotel .. famous for Indian cuisines
I am sure this place will change a bit once developments started , especially the highway at the Rochor centre.

It's always a refreshing sight to see restored pre-war houses in Singapore. These shoplots looks so beautiful after the refurbishment and repaint and its usefulness still stands, either for commercial purpose or just stayed in  for residency.

Away from the bustling shopping districts or tourist attractions, I checked out the quieter side of the city which definitely have a history to tell.

Shop houses near the Raffles hotel - The beautiful exterior has been preserved while I believe they renovated the interior for business needs

The other side of Singapore near beach road.
It's seems down memory lane walking along these corridors. :) Meanwhile, along the shoplots near beach road , there's a lot of nice eateries especially chicken rice, western food and pubs. I was at YY Kafei Dian for their chicken rice, which were crowded during lunch.

Crowded!

Besides the chicken rice, I also love their kaya bun, which has a thick crust at the top.

Yummy............ :)

Well, there seems to be more and more 'makan' malls in Singapore where Bedok point is one of them. The entire mall were almost filled with eateries and restaurants, with only a small percentage of shops. It was a Friday evening where I have worked late and thought of having a dinner in Bedok Point before I leave for home.

I had a simple but expensive meal at Kungfu Paradise Club. They have a few branches in Singapore and I like their varieties of food which were not bad.

Looking out from where I seated

I ordered a platter of sausages, rib eye and chicken chop.

And their speciality Kungfu Coffee to go along
The food was good and the platter was making me very full. The meat, especially the rib eye and chicken chop were nicely marinated with spices and grilled. It was awesome! I also like the wasabi salad.

The dinner winds up my week and I am heading back to JB soon.
