Just a short post today as I hardly find time to blog lately. LOL ... Anyway, this chicken chop seems to be a hit and I thought it's a good idea to try it. It was available at the western franchise, Char-Grill-Bar, which were all over the food-courts in SG. When I first ordered it , around noon, it was sold out!! Wow... that's really a hit. I came back the next day and I finally got to try it.

Salted Egg Chicken Chop
I am not sure where they got this idea from but McDonald also had salted egg burger recently. Anyway, the chicken was very crunchy and I love the fries!! The fries are just nicely made , salted and crunchy! Then the salted egg gravy, it was a little spicy but it was nice though I can't taste the salted egg or maybe I am not really a fan of salted egg. However, my colleagues are repeated customers but overall, it was delicious! I will definitely try again!

Have a good weekend, folks!

Nowadays I have cut down my long runs due to heel pains which I got it since April this year. However, I still run almost daily for short distance but once a while I do a 10KM, where I just did one last Thursday. And, running seems more fun now with Pokemon catching. I started the app and started running in order to hatch the 'egg'. Then, when something appeared on the screen, I will just slow down and take a look at it to see if its worth catching. There was this evening last Thursday where I spotted a rare pokemon while running and I went to look for it (and deviated from my running route). I finally found it and caught a 'Ninetales'. It was fun though my pace has suffered a lot! Even my colleague was jokingly scolding me for ignoring my pace. Well, I told them I just want to have a relaxing run and enjoy it while playing the game. I would end at the most popular place to catch the pokemons where there are crowds around there before heading home. Anyway, this game is very popular here in SG though it definitely affected my training. OK la, I haven't sign up for any runs till next March 2017 for Sundown Marathon, as I wanted to heal my heels. Maybe will do one more this year.

Oh, we discovered a newly opened bistro in Bandar Seri Alam in JB and though of trying it. It was quite a full house. I like the ambiance and it was very comfortable inside there. However, the food choices are not very suitable for us as well as it is quite expensive. Other than that, the food was great!

A cold chocolate drink. That ball is an ice where my kid will pour the chocolate drink onto it.

Enjoying the drink!

We ordered a pizza and shared

My flat white

Mushroom pasta for my kid

And, aglio olio for my wife

Thus, it's just pasta and pizza for us as we somehow, do not prefer the rest of the food on the menu. However, having said this, the food was great and that explained the crowd there! Have a great week ahead!

I don't really play darts but was introduce to the game recently and it's really so much difference from I thought. Unlike those sharp pin which can hurt you and thrown onto the wooden board, it was more of an arcade game with different themes.  It calculates the points for you, there are sounds when you hit it especially the bull eyes or triple and double rings. You can play over the net to challenge your mates! I saw one guy was playing against a Japanese who resided in Japan and that was so amazing.

The dart board was made of plastic with full of tiny holes to hold the darts while the tip of the darts are made of plastic and safer!! It's quite an affordable game where it cost only a dollar for one game and the darts are affordable too. I just bought a set which cost me around S$50 with a casing. Well, I am sure there might be expensive ones but the set that I bought was good enough for me, and it's heavy too. The heavier it is, the more accurate it seems but it all boils down to skills and consistency, just like bowling or archery. However, I gotta change the tips since it is made of plastic after some games as well as  the flights ( the wings at the back). However, all these are very affordable as it cost a few dollars for a big packet!

My "Snow Ice" darts .. looks fabulous right ?
It's great to have a game over beer or coffee to wind down after work especially on Fridays. And, yes, I found a new hobby though I still run, workout but play lesser badminton now.

Your Truly in action :)
And, I was at Aston Restaurant in SG and ordered an Sirloin Steak for dinner after a game last Friday. It's been a while since I had steak and loving it! :)

Have a great week!

I found a new Japanese Restaurant in JB and decided to try it. Located at Permas Jaya, it was opposite the well-known Niyumaru restaurant with some other Japanese restaurants around. Somehow, I love the food there and decided to blog it especially the big portions of the food. We can hardly finished all the food especially the compliment Salmon Nabe which is just RM1. Oh.. the promotion ended last Sunday but I heard they will have RM1 sushi promotion. I will definitely go back there again since I love sushis!

Ebiko Sushi  and Chuka Kurage Sushi

Salmon Maki

Salmon Aburi Sushi

Salmon Sashimi Set

Teppan Salmon Set

A RM1 promo of Nabe Salmon
My kids also enjoyed a scoop each of Macha ice-cream and I guess we all have a good time here. Have a great weekend!

Douzo Japanese Dining is located at 29, Jalan Permas 10/7, Bandar Baru Permas Jaya, 81750 Masai, Johor.

I took a day off last Friday to be with my family on my birthday. Well, nothing fancy going on as my kid wanted to attend his badminton coaching in the evening while my little princess had her ballet too. Thus, we only went out at night for a nice dinner, while the day was spent relaxing at home as well as checking out on holiday tours for year-end. I tried to make it a once a year oversea tour in order to see the world and wind down. I still prefers to go to places with winter but I guess due to a tight budget, I may have to go somewhere nearer (and hot) this year. Well, I will blog on it after the trip, and if possible, after my standard chartered marathon. Oh, I am still deciding whether to sign up this year due to lack of running partners as well as the large amount of crowd last year. It was very hot too, running the half-marathon during SCMS 2015.

Back to my birthday dinner, we decided to go Korean and ended up at Hans Korea BBQ in Taman Molek. It's spacious over there and clean, as well as there are 2-3 pokestops around! hahaha... I also managed to catch the 'Weezer' there with a CP of 1180. Back to my dinner, we just order their Set A which comes  with an assortment of Korean delicacies which is free-flow and a miso soup. Since I love the Ginseng Chicken Soup, I order a bowl too.

Free-flow of dishes

A BBQ teriyaki sauce pork meat

Miso Soup that comes with the set

And my favourite Ginseng Chicken soup
It was a lot for the five of us as we also asked for refill of some of the mini dishes. With rice and soup, it was very filling. I like this place as well as the food and will likely come again!

Have a blessed mid-week.

I had my birthday celebrations last weekend and it was the second consecutive year I was back to Hard Rock Cafe in Resort World Sentosa for a lunch birthday celebration with some of my close colleagues. Unlike last year. I requested my colleague not to announce it to Hard Rock where they will get the entire crowd to wish me and sang a Happy Birthday song as well as a free ice-cream. Ok, not for this time as I felt kinda embarrassed, with the entire floor of the restaurant cheering for me...hahaha. We ordered the usual stuff from the set lunch of the day (since I am buying ... must be set la... hahaha... ) and an extra nacho plate.

Love the Nacho plate ... Lots of ingredients added to it!

A Aglio Olio pasta for me since I got a sore throat then ... love the bacon!

A Haggen Dazz ice-cream for dessert.
The set lunch comes around S$12.90 per person with free flow drinks. After that, it's a walk around RWS and pokemon catching time, since there are rare pokemons there!

Have a great week, folks!

This was my next run after the night run, Sundown Half Marathon, on 30th May. Well, though this is a 10KM run, I didn't really train for it since the last run. The most I ran was 5KM with my colleagues weekly and due to that, my timing for this run is almost like my first 10KM run back in 2013! LOL ... Anyway, this was a really fun and easy run at the Gardens By The Bay and it was the second time I participated in. The route was almost the same except this year was easier, where we don't have to run up the slope around Marina Barrage. I did enjoy the run a lot after doing a few HM previously, at least it ended earlier. And, it's pokemons catching time after that! Well, there were lots of rare pokemons around Gardens By The Bay and Pikachu was sighted too, though I didn't walk farther up to search for it!

I was early with my colleagues and there was not many people then. I didn't really sleep enough and I was kinda tired after the run!!

Oh..I love the finisher's medal this year, so much nicer than the typical rounded one of last year.

The other side of the medal.

As usual, I always like to take a pic of MBS whenever I was at GBTB.

The carnival begins after the run, which is just part of the fund raising event. There were other stuffs going on that day.

Go-Kart organised by Yahoo!

Lots of booths around with sweaty runners walking around .,.LOL

It was a beautiful Saturday morning!

Folks having a good time with the games there too!
The 10KM run was the longest as well as competitive too with prizes, while they also have a 5KM fun run and a 2.5KM family run. Another thing I enjoyed of the run was there are lesser runners compared to those major runs, thus it was not so crowded!

Yours Truly here in action ...
After the run, I had a bowl of beef ramen with shallot pancake, before heading back to JB.

Have a wonderful mid-week! :)

12.8.16

Due to the new Johor weekend, we seldom travel around especially to nearby places from JB, which my family and I used to do that many years back then. Thanks to some enrichment classes which was cancelled on a Saturday and we decided to go around (again). Well, we didn't venture far and a friend told us to bring the kids to Ecoworld Tropics at Masai , where they can enjoyed some nature and beautiful decors around. I didn't know where is Ecoworld Tropics as there are so many Ecoworld around and I am not sure if they also decorate and landscaped each Ecoworld office and garden. hahaha... Well, we were told of the place and with a GPS, we managed to reached Masai quite fast.

A beautiful landscape and mini garden with my little princess become my model

There was also an 'animal' park there , where it was made of cardboards.

Sculpture of horses from cardboard

I love this pix of the windmill, where it was a hit last year with the public.

Such a beautiful, clean and relaxing park. It was nice to getaway from the citty and head to the quiet town of Masai, with such a beautiful park. It will be great to stay here too ... how I wish... hahaha...

My kid trying to get some attention ,... :P

Love those recyclable items being in used for decor!
The day before, I was at Breeks Cafe in City Square for my late dinner. It was quite late when I reached JB and I settled my own dinner as I was a little hungry too. I decided to have something western and I Love Breeks there, it was quiet and relaxing.  I ordered a combo of cajun fish with beef fillet. It was nice! And, not forgetting a long black to wind down!!

Have a nice weekend!

10.8.16

Oh dear... I guess I am slowing down in the blogosphere. Besides a busy schedule, I found myself running out of ideas or topics to blog. My initial intentions of starting this blog was to file all the nice makan places back then in 2007 but as I see there are better and wonderful makan blogs around, as well as I seldom travel around now, I switch it to well-being like writing on articles of positive thinking and sports. Anyway, I am not quitting yet but will update my blog slower. I am still trying to make this blog a relaxing spot on the cyberworld, for leisure reading and motivation.

Oh, if you wonder what was I doing lately, well, I was sorta catching monsters around. hahahha... There's a  Pokemon Go fever going on in Singapore right now where you can see almost all folks catching monsters in the train, parks, shopping malls and stopping at Pokestops to regain resources, not mentioning going to 'gyms' to gain experience in battles. Yeah, I think I also addicted to this game but I think I will get tired of it soon compared to Candy Crush.

One of my favourite pokemons..lol

Got one while watching football...muahahaha

A chart showing the common, uncommon and specials pokemons... I have yet to get PIkachu while my colleague caught twice!
And, a warning not to catch the wrong thing especially on 7th Month,... muahahahahah...
I was back to Anmour restaurant in JB and this place seems crowded everywhere!! We had some western food after church on a Saturday evening.

A salmon steak and pasta for my kid

An Aglio Olio for my wifey who shared with my little princess

A sirloin steak for me

And, not forgetting my regular coffee...
Have a nice week and be alert of your surroundings if you are playing Pokemon Go..
