I felt bad last Sunday as I didn't attended church services for three weeks, due to some reasons. However, while feeling lousy on that day, I remembered what my Pastor told me during my baptism class 3 years ago that it's important to have fellowship with my church members, like a family. Most of the time, I am more like a passenger in church, attended service and go back and come back again the following week. I used to join a small care group but the group has been disbanded as most of the members have converted their membership to churches in Singapore. My church is in JB. After remembering what my Pastor said, I felt much better as though attending the church corporate services are important, the fellowship too shouldn't be ignored else it's really no point I go to church week in and week out like a lone ranger. I will try to join some of the events and seminars in my churches as well as continue to serve the church as ushers and will be taking on additional roles as an audio visual guy.
Over the last Saturday, since its a long weekend, it's a family day out at Tebrau City and we ended up having our dinner at Kinsahi Restaurant after shopping. It's been a while since we dined there. Well, we ordered some sushi, a ramen and a bento. Their food actually not bad, the sushi are very fresh.

An assortment of sushi |
|
Sake maki - My favourite!! |
|
Kinsahi's special sushi. |
|
My salmon bento which I shared with my little princess |
|
My kid's Kani maki and Ebiko sushi . |
I didn't took the pix of the ramen which my wifey shared with my kid as it was average only, cannot compared to those that I had in SG which is more authentic. I have yet to try a good ramen in JB so far. I shall have one this week in SG, maybe. :)
I love sushi!
ReplyDeleteLibby - :)
DeleteIt's all between you and The One above. I go regularly but no, I do not mingle with the others or join any of those groups.
ReplyDeleteSTP - Somehow, I feel that it's good to have some fellowship with the church members, though not all are open and most of them too, leave after services. Maybe I tried to join their trips, retreats and etc.
DeleteI thought Kinsahi is in KSL? They have another on in Tebrau City too? I love the one in KSL, every time business trip in JB, must go at least once. Their sashimi is the best that I have ever eaten in Malaysia and best value for money! Thick and melts in the mouth yumsssss!
ReplyDeleteRealGunners - The have a lot of branches in JB.

Deletewell I guess we should enjoy being alone as well as being in a group.. afterall just enjoy life and love who we are, regardless under what setting we are.. :)
ReplyDeleteSK - True, agreed with what you said. However, my point is I didn't really fellowship much which I think I need to improve on that.
Deletebut you don't have to feel guilty also mah.. since everyone chooses how they want to live their lives. and I'm sure He understand that since He is the one who created you, if that's what you believe.. so just be where you feel most comfortable.. :)

DeleteSomething like what they call BEC in Catholicism, I gather? I don't know, but I do believe that one would feel spiritually enriched and enlightened after the fellowships. ^^
ReplyDeleteEh, now you're making me want to burn my wallet and eat Japanese food. =P It looks appetizing as well. =)
Waverly - I attended some before when I was in a Catholic church before. That was a long time ago.
