I had a relaxing trip in Sg Lembing, though it's just a 2 day 1 night stay. We moved on to nearby Kuantan and to your surprise, this is the first time I landed on Kuantan. Well, I felt at home once I reached Kuantan, probably it could be due to the fact the folks there are a cantonese speaking community. We ate at two restaurants and noticed something...all their servings were big, whether it's vegetables, fish or meat!

Anyway, it's a great place to be around and I especially love Teluk Chempedak. That place was kinda special, with lots of eateries and restaurants by the beautiful beach. The current, as usual, are strong since this is the South China Sea. That place seems to be beautified and renovated as it looks very new and clean. I like that McDonald's over there, the design was great and open!

Look at the rocks here!!

Beautiful sea at Teluk Chempedak!

That's a nice beach!

Family Portrait... my princess looks quite down as her balloon just burst!

Big big massive rocks!

It's really relaxing looking at the seaside here!
It's a nice place here to wind down and picture taking! Anyone want to be my model? :D

Century old 'hanging bridge', still strong enough for bikes!
I was at Sg. Lembing, which was a village near Kuantan, last weekend and was looking forward to the hike up Panorama Hill. Though it was not a high hill (according to Pahang Tourism Board website, it's around 400m), finally I got to hike. The place was also made well-known by the Mediacorp-NTV7 serial, 'Kampong Ties'.

We stayed overnight at one of the resorts in the village and woke up at 5am and started the hike at 5.30am in order to catch the 'sea of clouds'. Though the hill was not high and you can see lots of folks hiking up in the early morning by climbing the flight of stairs, the initial climb was quite steep. Anyway, most of the folks managed to reach the peak. It will usually took around 45 mins to reach it for typical folks.

Beautiful work of nature

Another view.... love the scenery

Sg.Lembing town was a nice getaway from the stress of city life. The life here is slow and unhurried. I was enjoying the sounds of nature while resting outside the resort for almost an hour. It was really calming.

The place where we found some delicacies  ... sugary biscuits

The tradematk tree

Quiet but peaceful place

The ex- tin mining town was kinda deserted since the closure in 1986 but the village seems flourishing into a tourism resort.

That's the hill we hiked , on the left. I was enjoying this scenery at the resort.
There are other attractions like the rainbow waterfall and nearby Gua Charas. However, we didn't check these places out and headed to Teluk Chempedak.

Since my wife and kids were in KL at the moment, I will have to spend this weekend in Singapore. It's been a long while since I had my own weekend in Singapore as I always back in JB. I remember during my single days then, I usually frequent the Planet Fitness gym, shop around especially for CDs, went for a movie and had sushi and Japanese food for dinner, either with my siblings or friends.

Well, I brought my nephew and niece out today to shop around, have a nice meal as well as catch MIB3. This is the second movie I watched after avengers two weeks ago after a long long while. We frequented Swensen, which was always crowded on weekends and had the following set meals, which came with a coke, soup and ice--cream.

Vegetable soup.... was expecting mushroom or chicken soup ...
Fish & Chips - my nephew's order
Salmon Pasta - my niece's favourite
My healthy Grill salmon
Nice to bring them out after so long....
And dessert - one scoop of ice-cream for each one of us.
Altogether this costs me around S$70+. Sounds expensive but ok la...once a while..hehehehe.... I got myself a working shoes to replace my old pair and we head for MIB3.

Well, will go for a game of badminton tomorrow afternoon in the east and thought of pampering myself with a massage later ... hmm...Let's see...

Have a good Sunday!
