Negative thoughts...

Somehow I find that negative thoughts can be dangerous to our well-being and worst still, if not control, it may spiral into a monster. It's just like a small fire when spread, can be as dangerous as a forest fire which gave us haze....hahaha... What prompted me to blog about this topic is I remember there was once I keep worrying over small matters and these small matters really crippled me. OK, for example, (though this not a very good example), I am not sure if I have off the air-cond. when I was half-way to work. Thus, I begin to keep thinking whether I did or not and when I think I did, 'creative' negative thoughts will pop-out automatically, like the heavy bill I am going to pay, whether the air-cond will broke down or got on fire if it keep on working and etc. It's also the same on any situations where you are worried about , like taking a flight, driving long distance, public speaking and etc.

I guess the best way to overcome all these is to stop the flow of the negative thoughts by doing and thinking constructive positive thoughts and actions. If you are afraid the air-cond is not off, just drive back to check, though it's a bit inconvenienced or if you have a meeting, just inform that you have an urgent matter and apologize, then reschedule the meeting. If it's driving, say a prayer before the journey and tell yourself to drive carefully at a comfortable speed.  Just ignore all those irritational negative thoughts if there's nothing much you can do , like flying on a plane,  and try to focus on other stuffs.

Another way of feeling better is to indulge in good food and I had some Japanese food after a ..erm...4 days ago... which is considered kinda long. Eating good food sure chase away all the bad thoughts. :)

Sake Sashimi Don

Some tobiko sushi with mayanaise

Chicken teriyaki Don

Tempura Udon Set

And a cup of refreshing hot green tea

There's always a way out for every bad situation! Think positive and have a victorious week!

  1. That is a whole lot of food for a person. You ate this all at one time?

I guess guys are like that (regarding the aircond). William is also like that esp when it comes to locking his car. He'll always go back to make sure the car is locked -.-

  2. Yes, think positive...think happy - these will radiate to those around you, make you a better, more likable person to be with and you will feel a lot better yourself...and about yourself inside.

Avoid negative people, snooty ones, those that say and do things to hurt and humiliate you...do things that make you happy too - like indulging in good food once in a while.

  3. The same thing happened to me last week.. I iron Kz's uniform every morning, and I swear I ALWAYS remember to switch it off.. But that day, I kept thinking "alamak, got swtich off or not", and couldn't work the whole morning.. Scared catch fire la, this that.. Ended up I took emergency leave (after I reach office), drive home again, and just to see the switch was turned off.. Wasted my leave..

    1. It's ok, at least you check and have a peace of mind rather than worry about it. Just take it positively, like give yourself a time off to relax without the monsters around.

XD

    1. Yup,but the destructive ones are fears that may never happens and thinking negative about ourselves like saying i am not good , I am going to hell , I am not confident , I can't do it ...etc. All these thoughts will have a big impact on our well being. Just keep affirming I am good,I can do it , I am confident and pull thru and etc daily and make it a habitual thought.

  14. I agree with you, those minor and trivial things can linger in our heart and make us worry, sometimes for example I will worry whether I had made a certain call or whether I have done something I should do, and that can cause me to worry the whole day

  16. Another thing that can linger in my heart is sometimes I have something to say to someone, but that person is not around, that thing and thought will linger in my heart until I tell that someone what I want to say then I will feel more comfortable, but this one is not negative thought

    1. aiya....go eat la...hahahaha...

Very simple, just go out to the front door and make sure it's locked. We are habitual beings, sometimes we automatically or unconsciously do the same thing like locking the door or car, and we forgot if we really did it later.
