Happy Mooncake Festival

It's the mooncake festival again and I would like to wish all of you a beautiful and blissful night with your loved ones and enjoy the peacefulness and silence of the night under the bright round moon.Have a great time bonding with your loved ones and kids while strolling on the street or nearby your home with the beautiful lanterns. Enjoy your mooncakes in different flavours and varieties, as well as other delicacies.

When I was a kid, this was one occasion I always look forward to especially the lanterns and candles. On the actual night, I will light up lots and lots of candles with my brothers or neighbours at the balcony, either in my home or my aunt's place (where a teenage reanaclaire will be watching...LOL) till the entire area lits up beautifully! As for the lanterns, I love the red polystyrene aeroplane shape which is quite large and usually I folded it back after the festival for the next one, but each time I did that, the lantern will break and usually I get a new one on the next festival.  I also remembers my bros loved to use tins instead of lanterns where they lighted up one or two candles inside, besides tying a string onto it to carry it, like a big torch! It sounds cool to them. :)  Well, not forgetting the 'buffalo shape' like delicacies which only on sale during the mid-autumn festival or commonly known to us as 'the 15th day of the eight lunar month'.

I will be on long leave from Thursday onwards till next Tuesday and will be back home in JB to bring my kids out to carry their lanterns around tomorrow night. Again, wishing all of you a peaceful and blissful night on the mooncake festival and stay well! :)
