It's been a while since I dined at Crystal Jade La Mian restaurant in Singapore. That was last friday evening where my pretty model-looking niece and I were getting ready to make a trip back to JB at Bugis Junction. It was peak hour then and all eateries were crowded with long queues. I guess the buka puasa didn't help either and almost of the restaurants are full!! After searching around, we finally found one with a shorter queue, which is Crystal Jade. Due to shortage of land, most of the eateries in SG are quite cramp and you could heard conversations at the next tables, despite seated separately. :)

The tables are so close to each other!

Chicken wine soup noodles for my pretty niece. The soup was very fragrant as I can smell the wine from afar.

I had a braised beef noodles. The beef was nicely marinated and delicious. I love the soup too, it was good.
I also had a lime-lemon juice to refresh myself
The meal was enough to fill us for the not too long trip back to JB. Afterall, it's late at around 9pm and the CIQ crowd has dispersed. The peak at the CIQ on Fridays usually occured around 6pm-8.30pm. It was a smooth journey!! :)

It was a pleasant Saturday afternoon and what a great time to dine at the newly opened Moonlight restaurant in Permas Jaya. I guess this is their no. 6 branch in JB , if I am not wrong. Like most bistro in JB, they sold pastry and cakes but also maintained a restaurant to dine in and served nice coffee. This is a great place to wind down for a chat with friends. I had my lunch + tea there before heading to church for the evening services.

It's the fasting month for the muslims and while shopping at a nearby mall, I came across Old Town Cafe ramadan set. Since there were not many restaurant in that mall, I thought it's not a bad idea to try out their MyDulang set meals. This was one big set and I can hardly finished it! It came with a tomato rice, squid in belacan, kangkung, long beans, fried lekor and a chicken rendang or beef rendang or red fried chicken. In addition, there was a rose cincau and gula melaka jelly dessert. At RM19.90, it's really full! Good thing my wifey didn't ordered another set but a bowl of curry noodles which she shared with my kid. My little princess had hor fun soup since she's just recovering from that dreadful hfmd.

The 'MyDulang' set meal ..consist of Tomato rice, sotong, kangkung, ayam masak merah , long beans and fried lekor
The tomato rice is not bad as my son keeps taking scoop and scoop of rice away from my set. LOL ... Overall, not too bad as it fills up my stomach to shop for the afternoon.

Have a good weekend, folks!
