8.9.14

Glad to go back to the church again last Saturday and also celebrated the Holy Communion since it was the first service of the month. The experience was refreshing and I look forward to a nice Japanese dinner at night. But before that, we had a simple lunch at Moonlight Cake House again since my kid, whose birthday is around the corner, wanted it. So , I took it as a small celebration for him since I will be at work during his birthday.

He and his sis ordered kids meals for the first time there. Usually, my wifey will not allowed them to order the kids meal as it seems not value for money with a little portion of the food. She rather ordered the typical serving and shared with them.

A bento set for my little princess , consist of fries, nuggets, mochi, salad and yakult.

A rice set for my kid where it came with fish balls, a nicely decorated fish in rice, vegetables, mochi and Yakult.

I had a Chicken fillet croissant sandwich with fries. The chicken is crunchy and the  meal is filling. Good to last me until 7pm after my church service.

Both bro and sis so delighted...

My wife was not too hungry and she got herself a home-made mushroom soup and she can't even finish it. The portion was big!

I had my usual flat white after the meal

And, my little princess had her mini strawberry cake, with yam slices.

Too busy eating her cake. She didn't manage to finish her bento and my wifey gotta help her ...hahaha...
And, that's another relaxing afternoon..... before I headed off for my service. My kids were kinda lazy  that day and I didn't bring them to church school.

I was back at work last Tuesday as it was only a day off for Hari Raya in Singapore. However, my family were still having fun in Singapore since it's a week-long holiday in Malaysia. They are finally back last weekend and its also back to routines for the kids. They have to attend their tuitions, enrichment classes, church school and etc. It's also back to routine for the entire family as its the usual running of errands at the malls during weekends but we still need to wind down at a nice bistro for some light and healthy food for lunch. I always love to relax at a nice bistro with good coffee!

Back to my favourite Aglio Olio but for my kid.

I had a beef bolognaise pasta. Besides Aglio Olio, I love beef bolognaise!

My wifey and little princess shared a nasi lemak with fried chicken.

Both bro and sis sharing a cooling drink

My little princess again ordered an Oreo Cheesecake.... I wonder what happened to her favourite strawberry cake ??

enjoying it!

As usual, I had my kopi, a Flat White.
It's the month of August already and how time flies. I still got a couple of personal goals to achieve before year end. Add oil !!

Have a nice week!

It was a pleasant Saturday afternoon and what a great time to dine at the newly opened Moonlight restaurant in Permas Jaya. I guess this is their no. 6 branch in JB , if I am not wrong. Like most bistro in JB, they sold pastry and cakes but also maintained a restaurant to dine in and served nice coffee. This is a great place to wind down for a chat with friends. I had my lunch + tea there before heading to church for the evening services.

My kids shared a fried rice with my wifey as the portion looks big

My little princess looking forward to something ... since it's a cake house ...

After a full meal, I head for church as I was involved in ushering duties that evening.

23.4.14

I was back early than usual last Thursday to JB, which is also the Maundy Thursday. There was a church service at night and knowing myself that I will unlikely able to wake up for the 6am Easter Sunday service as well as doubtful for the Good Friday night service, I thought it's a good idea to attend this one. After all, there was a holy communion too.

My lovely wifey fetched me from the CIQ around 4pm and we headed off for a light tea break. And, we ended in Moonlight cafe. It seems like the cafe is opening lots of branches lately. I went to this one in Taman Pelangi which was opened not long ago.

My little princess was hook to the cakes!

And she got herself a strawberry cream cake

Enjoying her cake!

My wifey and I shared a club sandwich since it's almost dinner

And not forgetting my cup of cappuccino
After that, I get myself ready for the Maundy Thursday night service. The church was not that crowded since it's a Thursday night and I had some peaceful moments, though both body and mind are tired by 10pm. I woke up at 7am that day.

It was a 'makan' weekend. We had a sumptuous Japanese food for dinner and then western food for lunch on last Sunday. Since my niece was here from Singapore, we decided to bring her for some nice food and after looking around in Johor Jaya, we ended up in Moonlight Restaurant.

Besides offering a mixed of western and local food, this place was also a pastry and cafe. There were lots of breads and buns as well as cakes here . Their coffee was good too as I tried their Americano which was bitter and aromatic enough. They have a few branches and I know there was one in Taman Sutera and another one going to be open soon in Taman Pelangi.

I had a rib eye in black pepper sauce.

An aglio olio for my wifey

My niece wanted something local , fried rice

My little princess enjoying her kid's set

And not forgetting my cuppa of Americano... !
That sums up my relaxing day!
