As usual, Sunday was spent lazing around. Since this is the grand finale of the World Cup, I slept early yesterday to catch the 3rd and 4th placing match this morning at 4am and of course, will definitely be watching the final tomorrow morning at 2.45am. There will be performances by Shakira too! After this morning's match which finished at 6am, I took a nap and woke up at 9+am. Sent my kid to school two hours later and went to the mall with my wife and little princess to run our errands. Had our late lunch at nearby toastbox.

Love their coffee ...very kao !

My favourite kaya toasts again, without butter.

And, my lunch , fried noodles with prawns in banana leaf. Not bad... very nice!

Meanwhile, when at Aeon, there was a durian stall which I went nearby and the durian uncle quickly gave me a sample of a musang king to try. It taste good as he was packing the durians in a container. I got a pack, just fresh out from the durians.

At RM35 for a pack or rather one durian of musang king variety, I think it's worth lah... after all,  I witnessed the packing though I am not sure if it's really musang king or not...lol
Feeling sad the World Cup is ending tonight and life will be back to normal ...sigh... What a great month of exciting football and late nights. Will look forward English Premier League in August.

Since one of my ceiling fans are broken and my wife suggested to go to Taman Johor Jaya where there's a newly opened warehouse electrical appliances and home decor shops there. It's indeed two shops selling goods at warehouse prices, though it's cash and carry. While on the way to the our destination, I though it's a good idea to stop at Toast Box again. Afterall, it's just a 5 mins drive to the warehouse.

The menu in Toast Box , JB is slightly different from those in Singapore and I find that they have more varieties of food. And, in addition, of course the outlet is bigger here. I had a mamak mee goreng (which makes me needed to run more ....!!!) and it came with two delicious prawns. Its delicious, not bad!!

While in Toast box, definitely its a must to order kaya toasts. I still find that their kaya are one of the best. Maybe I do not prefer those pandan kaya types found in most kopitiam.

And, not forgetting a cuppa of kopi kao.
OK, I got a stylish black three-blade fan at RM750 after discount, with a remote control and lights and will get a technician to install it soon. The fan power is powerful and the brand is Deka.

Have a good weekend!

There were many Toastbox franchises in Singapore which I have visited but somehow, this branch in Taman Johor Jaya really looks special, and I really like their nostalgic design and historical decorative items. Painted in its corporate white color, the place really looks special and pleasant. I never felt so comfortable here.

Painted in pure white with nice and nostalgic decorative items

It's so relaxing here! Quiet and clean.

They really put some effort in decorating the place

I had their nasi lemak chicken rendang and I must said the chicken rendang was very good. It's marinated deliciously and I almost mixed the rice with the rendang instead of the gravy given for the nasi lemak.

Nasi Lemak Chicken Rendang for me

Fish ball noodles for wifey

Most importantly, must have their coffee. :)
I find that their coffee is not as 'milky' compared to those that I tried in Singapore. It's thicker and aromatic and I always love this type of Hainanese roasted coffee. That gave me a good Saturday lunch.
