I thought of trying to run in the morning in preparation for my quarter marathon as I usually ran in the evening. I am not really a morning person as I woke up later than most of the working class since I am doing tele-working, where I can worked anywhere if there are no meetings in the office.
Anyway, I'm glad I managed to wake up at 7am to practise my run for a long while in the morning, despite only slept for 5 hours plus. It was nice running in the cool and fresh air and I saw a lot of folks rushing for work and waiting for their buses. While running, I make a mistake in my route where I ran to the top of a small 'hill' park, which was three storeys high. Imagine I was huffing and puffing after reaching the top! Phew... I was glad I still managed to continue running for a few rounds at the top of the park, which has a circle running track, before 'descending' down to my actual route and voila... I managed to do 6km at one go. That was around 42 mins. hahaha... I felt so good after the run though I needed isotonic drink after that and got sunburnt a bit.
Later, I rewarded myself with a yummy Chicken Ciabatta with fries when back to JB at Lavender Bistro. I always love their sandwiches, affordable and delicious!

ReplyDeleteThe chicken ciabatta is a healthy breakfast alternative.
Rose - haha... Im feeling anxious and excited.
Deleteah, good!! I guess it would be even better that you wake up early to run in the morning, because the real run is in the morning!! make sure you get used to it and will be able to wake up in time on that day!! haha~~ xD
ReplyDeleteSK - Yes, that's my point. Anyway, the marathon will be earlier I guess.
Deleteand I think running in the morning is actually better.. first it's more cooling than in the afternoon, second you won't be exhausted by a whole day's work and after run you indeed feel refreshed for the remaining of the day..
ReplyDeletep/s: though getting up early is a problem!! haha :)
SK - yeah, I feel I can run better in the fresh morning and feel so good throughout the day though I feel tired in the evening.
Deleteoh, very delicious looking Chicken Ciabatta that is, I want that!! haha.. and the ginger breadman is also kind of cute, did you buy that back home for your kids?? :p
ReplyDeleteSK - No la...but got them some mini gingerbreads man ... the usual types.

DeleteWhat?! After your run , you ate that chicken ciabatta with fries?! All the fat burnt during your run comes right back! LOL! Unless you do high intensive interval training. Then you will burn all those fat after your run :)
