Silence is golden....

I think I have learned a lesson while on leave but I still never learnt....hahaha... Well, due to availability of data network, I always tend to reply to whatapps message sent by my boss or colleagues. And, some of these messages are not work related as we do have special interest groups like running or badminton. Thus, when I was on leave, I tend to reply to these groups and then, one of the members will PM me to ask me about something related to work since he/she knew I am 'contactable' , though he/she will apologised first for interrupting.  Well, it don't happened all the time but I guess I should have kept myself  quiet and enjoy my leaves instead of 'kay poh' here and there!

Oh..while coming back from Desaru , I patronise this famous Hakka restaurant famous for its bittergourd soup near Senai airport for a simple lunch. It was on TV before, in the food program hosted by Ah Xian on Malaysia's 8TV as well as Asian Food Channel on cable.

Bittergourd soup - lotds of bittergourd and the soup is refreshing

A simple vegetable

Claypot tofu
Well, time to stay 'silent' next time.... :)

  1. Makes me think of my ex-boss in my ex-company, whoever is on leave, and when there is work related to the person who's on leave, he likes to call them and ask them about it...

  2. Haha, yeah, agree, sometimes it depends also one la.. If people call me when I'm on leave, and I see the number is from office, if I don't pick up, I feel macam bad pulak, coz scared got urgent or what.. When my colleagues whatsapp me when I'm on leave, usually she will start with "Can I disturb you".. I think still ok la like that, hehe..

  3. well, not uncommon that when we are on leave, we are still picking up calls and replying messages or sometimes email.. we carry a smartphone which makes us so "contactable"..

    1. Sk- I think that's not good. If you are on vacation , that means you needed to be totally away from work. You can't relax if you keep 'working' there.

  4. but of course, while we don't mind answering, we also appreciate the bosses and co-workers to respect that we are off duty and avoid contacting us about work.. we don't have the obligation to be "contactable" if we are out of office..

    1. I guess most of the time ,they won't disturb unless you Kay Poh and keep spamming the what apps groups. Thus, people thought you are damn free or boh liao and started to talk work with you.

It is always hard not to be contactable when on leave unless you are overseas.^^

  12. I agree with what Rose said, that is why my friend always choose to go overseas for tours so that she is uncontactable when on leave

  13. I love bittergourd too! I've even taken up eating bittergourd noodles (which contains pork as well - I thought it'll contain just bittergourd). Looks good, something I'll be up for.

    1. This is one popular shop that sold bittergourd soup. Sadly I didn't note down the name of the restaurant but it's famous. On tv before.

  14. I think there is no right and wrong on whether to speak or be silent. It is subject to our hearts, and kindness without conditions is what we should practice.
When I went overseas, my bosses expect my office mobile phone to roam from China to Japan and Europe!! LOL
