Action vs fear....

I am one of the special ones who don't have to go to work on a dreadful Monday today. Yes, I'm grounded by flu again last Friday. Lately, I seems to be quite susceptible to flu, after enjoying good health at the beginning of the year. I attributed this to stress and lack of sleep. Well, have to sleep early from now instead of the usual 12am or 1am. :(

I'm pondering on procrastination and fear. One of the most effective method to beat fear is to take action! I realise everytime when I'm worried about something, the longer I ignore it and delay it, the worst the fear will get. It's especially worst when you're resting on a weekend and the thought of that fear will definitely occupied your mind till you get back to work on it. However, taking action on it immediately, though it may take away some of your rest time, give you peace of mind! Some examples here are - delaying your difficult tasks, delaying your public speaking, delaying your visit to the dentist or doctor for checkup, delaying facing your problems and etc.

However, once action has been taken, you will  realise the peace and satisfaction derived from your ownself. Lately, I tried to talk as much as possible to an audience. Though there are anxious moments, I felt good after that, whether I did a good job or not. Hence, it's always better to face your problems as soon as possible to avoid it become a gigantic issue in your mind! Nip it in the bud.

Have a good week!

  3. Hey there!

The magic number for sleeping is 7 hours. In the day, you should get like an hour of sleep to rejuvenate some brain cells, get this neurons firing up again. Not sleeping makes you look old and feel cranky on a lot of days!

I believe in "Why do it tomorrow when you can do it today?" actually, that's just my ideal self. But I totally procrastinate a lot. I get stuff passed on time, though. But I cram. But when I cram, all those creative juices start flowing out.

Okay, I'm talking too much. Haha!

  6. Very true...never put off till tomorrow what you can do today. The stress can be bad... Lack of sleep/sleeping late will also lead to memory loss... Watch out!

  20. Hello Chris, first, go ask your Mrs go Chinese medicine store buy that Chinese herbal drink called, "HOR YAN HOR'. Made in Ipoh, Perak.
Drink 2 packets, HOT! Once morning, once at night...I assure you, you'll feel good. Try it! Not expensive.

Re your stress and worries....Chris, take my advice, or you might hear your doctor tell you what I was told, only in your case it'll be 'stress'.
Stress and worries has killed more people, heart attacks than others....

For me, I tackle things ASAP....I dislike going to bed at night having worrying or nervous thoughts. Spoils my sex life, ha ha.

Do not be conscious of people or whoever if and when you have to give talks or presentations...
We are all human. Everybody makes mistakes, include Bill Clinton, Obama.

Even other Presidents make mistakes mentioning wrong names or countries...
Know your subject, do your homework...have a good breakfast, ask wife kiss both your cheeks wish you 'good luck'....and go have fun.

Don't keep, don't bring home stress! Might make your doctor....well, you know what I mean, ha ha.
    Have a nice day, Lee.
