Hard selling ...

Sigh ... somehow I got irritated by some sales folks who likes to touch on your personal life in order to make you buy their products. Well, I just join a network marketing company, merely to consume their products as well as slowly build up my network for retirement as a side-income if possible, but somehow my uplines tend to be very aggressive and even mentioned things like you are doing it for your family sake and etc etc ...which they tried to make me feel guilty if I didn't join them for their meetings on my rest days. I have nothing against network marketing as I really likes their products (though not all are good in terms of price) but I tend to dislikes some money-minded sales talk. I prefer to try it out first and if its good, then I introduce to my friends oe relatives rather than like a street medicine peddlers who boasts on about their products. Now I know why most folks tend to run away from network marketers...LOL.

I remember there was a time back in my mid-twenties where a relative tried to sell me insurance. She  was so desperate in getting me to buy until even mentioned  I will be more filial piety by buying an insurance should anything happens to me. Aiyo..I was like ..come on..do you need to say such thing to sell ? I ended up buying a small portion from her but I bought an insurance from another lady few years later, who was more professional where she explained clearly to me on the pros and cons. I bought almost 7 times more than what I have bought from that relative! Now, I will only look for this lady whenever I wanted to invest.

Anyway, on the other hand, my colleagues got hook up to the set meals in Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studio, which costs only S$15 for the following and delicious meals.

Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studio, Singapore

Salad for appetiser

Another option is to choose a thick mushroom cream soup... yummy

Fish and Chips .. There's a lot of meat in the fish and the chips was nicely fried.

I had a Hainanese Pork Chop and I can't finish everything!

Dessert - Haagen-Dazs ice-cream
With a free flow drink, soup or salad, main meal and dessert from Hard Rock, I guess for S$15 nett, it's worth it ! :)

  2. yeah.. that is why i do not like those MLM, insurance, telemarketing etc kind of thing, especially those very aggressive ones.. at times i do feel irritated with their push of sales, all in their mind are just sales and quotas - all they have in mind is to get you buy from them..

  3. of course it's unfair to stereotype due to just some black sheep we have met lah.. there are still some good insurance agencies that i have met who are helpful and considerate too, and those are whom i continue supporting them.. and i totally understand how you feel when you are being "bombarded" by those aggressive ones, come on, what you think may not be what i think right?? :)

    1. SK - The saddest part is some of them are your friends. After they approach me, the friendship seems affected.

    1. Ken - true ... That's why I only entertain my relative by buying a small portion. And the relationship seems affected.

  13. Baby Sumo - Yeah but then they also sell for a living . Probably it helps if they know how to manage their clients and be more of a service.

  14. Which MLM company you just joined? I like MLM products!! I have joined several over the years, but I have given up doing MLM - I'm simply not suitable for this type of business. Even a feng shui consultant told me that MLM is not for me. So I quit. LOL!

  17. I love Hard Rocks! The harder the rock is the better! Muahahaha

I always give these insurance and MLM sellers a chance to talk. I seldom bought but they always shook my hands happily with the sales talk I imparted. Hey, I am an aggressive salesman too. BEWARE!

  18. TM - haha ..you must be an aggressive but professional salesman, unlike those desperate to close a sale and mumble out irritating words.
