I discovered another new cafe , also in central JB at Taman Permas Jaya. It was crowded on a Saturday evening when I pass by to fetch my sis in law nearby. Well, usually when there was a crowd, the food wouldn't be that bad. Thus, we decided to try it for dinner. And, my kid somehow joke about the restaurant name, Anmour. It sounds french to me but when pronounced it, it also means 'massage' in Mandarin and 'caucasian' in hokkien. Lol.... OK, back to the food....

| And, not forgetting a kao kao kopi! It's bitter ... really nice!! |
All I can say is the food was really good and I love the lamb chop a lot! The serving portion was big and I guess this is more like a American restaurant. They also served giant burgers! I will try their other food on the menu in the near future.

DeleteAll the food looks good.. The mushroom soup looks very thick and rich and full of spices.. I like the lamb chop.. Now I feel like eating chicken chop, mushroom soup and some garlicky creamy cheesy escargots ;)

Deleteyeah, correct perception.. usually if a place is packed with people, the food won't be too bad.. and I guess many people judge a place they have not been base on the customer flow.. :)
ReplyDeleteSK - Yes, that's the usual perception. I guess it has been opened for a few months, so won't go wrong.
Deleteof course this theory may not be applied to new eateries, because the crowd may be "testwater" customers only.. if only the place can maintain the same crowd after months, then it's really good, else the crowd earlier on would only be gimmicks.. :p
ReplyDeleteSK - Yeah, whenever a new mall or new eatery opens, people will flock there to test waters. I usually avoid these new places.

ReplyDeleteThe food looks good though. I am eyeing that lamb chop but not black pepper for me. Prefer mushroom or brown sauce. Mint sauce is my current favourite with lamb. ;)
