9.8.13

It's glad to be back at Legoland after three months since we have been here! There were a few new additions like the Death Star at miniland, a  Ribena berry lego, the Chima lego (and the walking Chima where you can catch it for a pix) and the almost finished Legoland Hotel! It's great to be back with my kid here to wind down for a few hours with some rides and de-stress! And, the good thing was while we were here, there was hardly a crowd due to the non-peak season. We didn't even have to queue for rides and some of the rides were not even filled up!

The Legoland hotel almost completed!

I'm totally impressed with the Death Star.... my favourite art piece here!

Since it was the school holidays, I fulfilled my promise to my kid to bring him and his sis to JB's two biggest kiddy friendly theme parks (again), Legoland and Little Big Club on last Friday and Saturday. Well, glad to see his happy and delighted face while leaving for the theme parks. I can't blame him cos he had a tough schooling and tuition period. Well, nowadays, the kids were really poor thing, unlike my time, where study or no study during primary school doesn't really matter....hahaha... It  was quite tiring, as my wifey and I spent almost two full days walking around at the theme park. These were really lots of exercise for us!

Had a rendang nasi lemak first before leaving.... this lunch packs lots of energy and cholesterol and uric acid....etc.. :P

It was a crowded Legoland the next day compare to the Little Big Club where there were almost no queues for all the rides. We even repeat our rides at Little Big Club but it was a different story at Legoland. There were lots of tourists of different nationalities and it was long queue everywhere. I still prefers going on a normal weekend unlike the school holidays.
His favourite ride!

With an annual pass, my kid will be going again with his mom while I at work next week. And, I guess he can enjoy more rides with lesser folks as Singapore is not on school holidays yet. :)

24.3.13

My kid already pestered me to bring him to Legoland again for weeks. He had been there for 5 times while I was there for 3 times. So, plus one more and it's 6 and 4. LOL... Since it's the start of school holidays in Malaysia while its the end for Singapore, I thought it's a great idea too as there will less crowded on a Saturday. Well, how true am I. The queue for the rides were shorter compared to our last visit in December. And, the rain also just stopped, making it a cooling day. Both my kid and I had a great time, while the mom and sis went shopping elsewhere.

His other favourite game, Lego City driving school

Aquazone wave racers...This one is good. I like it!

It was coming to 8pm and nearby Medini Mall was celebrating Earth Hour. How nice!!
Well, since it's so near to my home, maybe we go again next weekend :)

9.12.12

Finally we off to Legoland after purchasing the annual passes months ago. And luckily for us, it was a good day. It drizzled for a short while and then the weather was bright (and hot too) but that was what we wanted. It was a tiring day as we stayed till 8pm from noon. Anyway, the theme park is really meant for kids, though adults can joined in the fun for some activities as well as some are meant for the young at hearts like roller coaster, but it's really, really a kid haven!

The Lego City was the first attraction we stopped by since it was my son's favourite. Both my kids were having a good time 'learning' to drive. lol...However, we disliked the long queues, it was really a long wait before they got their turns.

Learning to drive....

The miniland was great and I was really impressed with the models built from lego bricks. There were moving locomotions around the miniland which makes the models sort of 'alive'. I wonder how it withstand the rains and storms! Really awesome!

That's Singapore!

looks quite real right?

The twin towers and KL towers looks real in photo!
I must say that it's a great opportunity for family bonding especially with parents and kids, as both can enjoyed the activities together, especially those which requires supervision. For example, at the Lego Academy, it really provides quality time to spend with the children by building structures together.

My princess enjoy playing with the bricks most at the Lego Academy

My kid and his cousin bro boating....

A more adventurous activity .....

The park was huge and my legs were really tired walking around, especially looking for my son and his cousin bro who went from an activity to another one, while my wifey and princess also checks out the kiddy friendly activities like train riding. I was the one searching for them around...LOL...

One of the restaurant around but the food not cheap..

The fire engine game

Airport ......

and the roller coaster..
To really enjoy the facilities, it's best to get the 2-day pass, as completing the park in a day can be tiring, not mentioning the rain in the afternoon. The annual pass is good for those who stayed nearby but I find that going too regularly also can be bored too but that's my opinion only. Anyway, it will be great if they can build more shelters at the park to shield patrons away from the rain and the hot sun, and lower the price of the food and drinks inside the park.

Overall, it's a great place to hang out during  the school holiday season and providing opportunities for family bonding, as well as it's kiddy friendly. Try it out , folks!

Malaysia's Legoland  in Nusajaya
Once I got updates that the Brick Shop was opened in Legoland, I was quite excited and to my kids' delight, I decided to go there for the very first time, but definitely not the last time. In fact, I will be  getting the annual passes which was at a discounted price right now at their roadshows. The theme park was not too far away as I initially thought, where it is just a few km from the Bukit Indah township, which was also near to where my in laws staying. Thus, I can shower and go there, come back again to shower and go again...hahaha...

The place was still under construction when we were there last weekend but then, there was a large crowd too. The folks are there mainly to redeem their annual passes as well as to check out the Brick shop, which sold all kinds of Lego merchandises especially the toys! My kid, who was a Lego fan, was the most happiest that day as there was almost a complete set of Lego products there. Me too, was impressed by the large X-wing which cost around RM360+.

Though most of the theme parks were closed since it was not open yet till Malaysia Day next month, it was a  nice place to be at that moment. It was evening around 6pm and with the breezes around at the beautiful park, the surrounding was simply relaxing. It was fun taking photos around. The view over there was magnificent since it is surrounded by low lying hills.

It's really a dream come true for the kids.... nearly all the kids went 'havoc' at the shop, including mine.

My kid 'untung' already.... look at his smiling face!
Well, it's great that finally there are some great attractions near home, besides the Johor Premium Outlets. Anyway, I will likely go later after the opening in order to avoid the crowd, maybe end of the year. By the way, go get the discounted annual pass now!!!
