Warming up the engine...

I didn't do any long distance running since my last half-marathon in end May. And, since I've signed up for a 10KM run in mid-August, I decided to get this lazy fella in me to get back to training. I did ran 2KM-5KM almost weekly but when I tried to do 10KM this evening, somehow my body and mind were like giving up before I started to run....LOL. I struggled at 3KM+ , though I also tried to run faster this time round and that may explained the tiredness. After I am done with 5KM, I took a short breather and decided to run 2KM more but somehow I gave up after adding another KM. OK la, maybe the body need some adjustment. I will try again next week.

Gelare SG has 50% discounts in their waffles on Tuesdays and I managed to try some of it with my colleagues. However, I am not really a fan of waffles as it is too sweet for me and I can't even finished one! Unlike my lady colleague who could gobble up the entire waffle, faster than the usual rice or noodles that she had!

Another colleague of mine ordered a syrup with banana slices topping waffle.
Arrhhh.... I had enough of waffles, don't think I want to eat it for a long time. hahaha....

  1. I like to eat waffles with peanut butter and blueberry. Yums.

    I've started running. Jogging to be exact. I jogged for 2.5 - 3 km at least 4 times a week. It feels good to get my heart pumping hard and break out a sweat. But I know I wont be able to do 10 or 20km like u do.

      By the way, I had started to go to the gym, twice so far, we intend to go to the gym regularly to shed some fats

  3. I like waffles but only with maple syrup - I can't stand the sight of all that mess that seems to be the trend these days, even here...and they are so so so expensive at all those "high class" coffee places that I do not bother going...over RM10 for a cup of kopi susu, siao ah!!!

    The waffle, if with those topping, if myself, i will be struggling to eat by myself unless sharing with other's...

  6. Observe your pacing. After rest, sometimes it's good to start on easy pace to do longer runs instead of going hard every time.

    But all the best for your next race!

  9. My wife just ordered one new set of waffles maker from online shopping. It could even make donuts, pancakes and croissants. Now I get some more ideas from your photos to decorate the waffles.
