Exercise!!

Exercise...exercise....workout!! This activity has been occupying my time for a long time that I can't remember how long, but only for the last three years, I did it consistently. Typically, for the last thre years, I almost workout for 5 days a week which includes all various activities like badminton, running and gym. I am not well-built and no six packs, but somehow I find exercise really helps me to feel good,  relieved stress and makes me sleep better and feel healthier. Of course I do get sick but generally, I feel healthier. And, the best thing is after a good workout, I generally feel good and can wind down the day in good mood. On stressful days, it helps to reduce my stress and if I did a long run, say, 10KM , it actually clears my mind!

Somehow, I had a stressful evening one of the weeknights last week and I really appreciated a 30 minutes run which helps me to feel better. It was late and the gym was closing in an hour but I still check in in order to get a run and some workouts so that I can feel good.

Thus, since I always blogged on well-being, this post is to encourage everybody to exercise!! Check with your doctor first if you have a condition or never exercise at all! Start with any sports you like and I am sure you will reap the benefits!

And, btw, I had a juicy Sirloin Steak in Hot Tomato Cafe at Bedok Mall. Not a bad deal, Sirloin Steak with pasta, tomato soup and coffee for around S$15. It's wonderful!! :)

Have a great week and let's feel good!!

  1. I have no discipline, always tell myself I want to exercise but end up not exercising maybe because I have no exercise kaki, that is why no motivation (is that an excuse?)

    1. Libby - You can go on your own, no need to get kaki. Sometimes, having a companion may not be a good thing too as he or she may not have the mood to workout and wasted your routine.
Of course, on the other hand, it's good to have some friends to accompany you.

  5. Exercise...and then eat that? Just once in a long while, I hope. I guess you eat out all the time except when you go back home to JB? That is not very good either. Maybe that is why you fall sick rather frequently.

    2. Yes ,... but yoga is more for the mind though it's tough. I guess it's good to go for some physical exertion.

  8. and it's great that you are still hanging on.. I've seen many who joined the gym but quit after a year giving all kinds of excuses.. guess they are just trying to jump onto the bandwagon but never persist, like many now go to running but just for the sake of joining the fun to collect finisher tees and the medals.. it's not the right spirit huh?? :)

    1. I used to be like that too! Once, I keep giving myself excuse not to exercise. But once you got the hang out of it, whether rain or shine, you won't stop. Go to a gym , at least an alternative to outdoor running.

  18. Yeah I do believe that exercise helps with stress and depression.

I just heard from a friend who says it helps with depression too and I'm inclined to do it seriously e.g. daily, an intense workout you can do from home. All the best!
