a relaxing day....

I had a great run yesterday evening where the haze has gone and the skies were so clear after a morning rain. I was delighted to be able to run for 16 KM in preparation for my half-marathon where of late, I always struggled in my runs. However, with a fresh body and mind after having a nap in the bus as well as a rested pair of legs, it was such an enjoyable run for 2 hours. I told myself it's ok to go slow if I needed to and most importantly, is to finish the run. And, to take it as a form of relaxation after a long day by enjoying the breeze and surroundings of nature.  It works and I had a relaxing day today due to the endorphin in my system after run and a good night sleep . I sounds like a junkie now...hahaha!

Oh... I went for my annual medical check-up today, which was sponsored by my company at Paragon Tower in Orchard Road. The check-up finished late around 10.30am and with an empty stomach, I went for a light breakfast since lunch time is approaching soon. My colleague suggested we go to Muji Cafe which was newly opened in that shopping outlet.

My light breakfast, a coffee and an Earl Grey Tea Chiffon Cake
 Have a great weekend!!

  5. So glad the haze has gone. I hope the authorities there will do something and make sure it does not happen again. This year was real bad and stretched over so many months. So sickening those people!

  7. yeah the monsoon is already here blowing the northeast bound wind and bringing rain.. so likely the haze will not be coming over (though they are still not gone in their origin)..

  13. Thumbs up to you for going for runs to maintain a robust health! Run Chris Run!
So you must tell us what the doctor says when you get the results of your medical check up!
I am very surprised that MUJI has makan cafe now! The ones here only sell expensive products.

I have started running on the treadmills and kick boxing now in the gym to prepare for my week long trip overseas. This is important as I normally walked for many kilometers in the cold.

  17. It's great to finally reading some post on people that also care about fitness and running. The haze definitely is very bad and make it difficult for one to go for outdoor activities. I am also someone who is into fitness but I don't spend too much time on running though as I intend to bulk up. I was a runner in my younger days though. Keep up the right mindset on running and I believe your half marathon run will improve! :-)

  18. Glad the sky has clear and everyone can enjoy outdoor activities. But monsoon is coming and rain is expected. Going to be cold and wet soon.

  24. That's good.

I'm trying to do more exercise too, not thinking about a marathon but more for stress relief. It seems like a good and natural way to be happier.
