1. Not a good weekend as when I reached home, my wife looks pale and tired while my little princess having a fever. Asked my wifey what happened to her and she said she's ok but the next day, I gotta sent both of them to the clinic. Both were sick with throat infections. Luckily my sis in law was with them till I came back. Anyway, they have recovered and feeling much better now. Thus, the weekend was home-bound except I went to the church as I have ushering duties.

2. It was a joy to see my kids enjoying themselves in their enrichment classes beside their school education. My little princess just finished a year of ballet and went for an international exam, assessed by a caucasian lady. The results will be out in August, and she's enjoying her ballerina very much.

3. My son too, has attended his third badminton classes and set a goal to represent his school. I told him to set a goal so that he can aim to improve his game. Initially, he told me he wanted to beat this student and that student whom he has lost to, but I told him to aim higher. This will also motivates him for the tough training. It do looks tough to me when I saw him trained but that will only strengthened his mind and body. My wifey applies some heat rub onto his legs and shoulders every time after his training. LOL

4. Whenever I saw my kid trains for badminton, I was also tempted to join in as they have a class for adults but too bad, it is held during weekdays which I definitely cannot make it. Anyway, sports training usually starts from young, as the saying goes, 'Never teach an old dog new tricks'. hahaha.... I think I run better la.

5. And , mentioning about running, I was a bit nervy as so far, I have only completed 11KM in training and was already tired, though I tried to run slow. I am not sure how will I fared in the half-marathon in July!! I plan to run 12KM this week and gradually increased it. Of course, there are times where its our off-day like today, I even struggle to finish a 5KM run due to too much rest over the weekend. The comforting news is they allocated 4.5 hours to finish a HM which I think that's possible for me.

6. I am looking forward to this weekend as it is a long weekend, though Vesak day in SG only falls on 30 May. Nevertheless, I feel like bringing my family around as my kids will have a long break.

Again, it's been a long week since we had Japanese food and we are back to the same restaurant. I also ordered the same Sushi Udon set.

My favorite sake maki

My kids' favorite sushi - Ebiko and Kani.

Some vegetables ordered by my wifey which comes with a set of rice and miso soup, since she's recovering from her illness.

A Teriyaki Salmon set shared by my kids

My plain Udon soup

And, my 4 pieces of assorted sushi

This will be a short working week and I am sure everybody looking forward to the weekend. Have a great week!

Time seems pass so fast especially weekends. I remember last Friday I had a conference and reached home quite early but then, suddenly I found myself leaving for Singapore on Sunday for another working week. Anyway, my weekends nowadays are usually busy with my kids' activities. Before the new weekend started,  I used to drove around to nearby towns or farther away to shopping malls like JPO and etc. However, with the new weekend, we seems to adjust it by enrolling my kids for activities like sports. Thus, it's more of fetching them around as well as going to church together.

I also have my own personal time on Saturday night for footballs where the kids and my wife have to sleep early for Sunday school. I also managed to catch some time for a short run on Sunday evening before fetching my kid back from his sports' classes.

And yet, we still have time to enjoy our favourite dinner. It seems a long one week that we never had Japanese food and glad we managed to get some last weekend.

I ordered an Udon Sushi set. It's just nice to keep me full.

My wife had a sushi set which she shared with us.

An Ebiko sushi for my kids

A cooked salmon sushi ordered by my son where he also had a teriyaki salmon set which he shared with his sister and doesn't allowed me to take pix. LOL
I may consider taking leave one of these weeks, likely on Monday to spend more time with my family. Anyway, glad the school holidays is one month away. :)

It was indeed a good weekend after a long week. Went to my kid's school fun fair on a Saturday morning and had a good time there where I had my breakfast and shopped for stuffs. I got myself a dri-fit sleeveless shirt which will be good for my running or badminton and some shirts for my kids. My wifey and my SIL also did some shopping over there. In fact, I was surprised by his school's effort in organising the fun fair as they seems to invite some good food hawkers to cook as well as car dealers, sports dealers, academic centres, lots of souvenirs stalls and even a feet analysis centre where I got my feet analysed. The  fun-fair also have groceries and some wet markets produce sold there, even bigger than a market or a pasar malam. I was really impressed! Some of the classes were used as temporary shops and it's almost occupied three storeys!

After that, I rested a while after lunch and had an hour of badminton with my kid before I went for my evening church. And, after dinner I spent my Saturday night glued to the tv as I have finally subscribed to the sports package and busy watching the English premier league in HD. :)

Sunday was a long day as it was my little princess kindy's concert. She was asked to perform the song  from Frozen, 'Let it go' with another girl who is one year her senior. I think she did quite well as she was very calm throughout the song though I can sense some nervousness in her but then, that's normal and furthermore, she's only 5. She performed another two group performance with her kindy mates later. Check out my facebook or the vids. :)

Meanwhile, I found a new steamboat outlet in Taman Molek and thought it's a good idea to give it a try. It's HK styled and there were some dim sum. I find that they are quite generous in giving out lots of seafood and ingredients and it cost only RM68 for 4 persons.

The set for 4 persons ... I almost sapu all the sotongs since my SIL and wifey are more health conscious than me!

Getting the pork bone soup ready!

Condiments to choose from ...

Here's the name of the steamboat outlet in Taman Molek ... I didn't note down the name but luckily I took this pix.

ready to eat ...

It was very full as my two kids didn't eat a lot which left my SIL, wifey and myself to finish all the food. Quite worthwhile at RM68 and will certainly come back again.

1. I have had a good weekend though Saturday was my kid's replacement class. It was my wifey birthday last Saturday and we had a simple dinner at nearby Moonlight cafe, after fetching him from school. I didn't really took the pictures of the food we had as I was busy choosing a cake for her. We celebrated her birthday at home at her request as she felt embarrassed to celebrate over at the restaurant.

2. I have been busy looking for a badminton coach for my kid. As someone who loves the game but deprived of proper coaching, I really hope to see him learn the basics well. It's also good for him to involved in a sports which will makes him stronger physically and mentally. I am a firm believer of physical workout which will benefits one's health and toughen up. Initially I had a hard time coaxing him to take up the sport but finally he is very interested in it now , thanks to his school which had badminton activities weekly.

3. I woke up early again this Sunday morning at 6.30am to respond to a call for ushers in my church. I slept at 1am and during the service, I almost fall asleep. Luckily, I managed to hold on till my duties completed before the sermon started. hahaha... Anyway, glad I helped out as when I reached there half an hour early, the assistant Pastor was alone doing the ushering duty ! Poor Pastor, he ought to do something more important than this.

4. Ran for 4km this evening and I have clocked almost 50km+ of running in the month of September. I guess this is a first for me in my life , though I didn't run above 5.5km each time. I felt good about it and beginning to think of a mini or half marathon. However, after reaching 5KM when running, somehow I began to feel tired and I wonder if I can last a half-marathon. hahaha... Maybe I need more training and as well as rest. Lina - Any comments?

5. I finally dine at i-Canton in JB City Square after  the place has opened for so long. It was not cheap but the food was really great. We had something simple only in wanton noodles and porridge instead of those extravagant food like abalone and etc.

Dry Wanton noodles - It's really nice and the wanton are big with lots of meat. I love these type of wanton noodles.

The soupy one ...for my kid. Delicious too!

Siew mai ... didn't ordered too many dim sum besides this was har gau. It's big and juicy.

Some cute pig buns which contains lotus paste inside for my kids.

How fast! It's back to the working week again! How was your weekend ? Mine was not so great though I planned to spend more time with my family but somehow there was some disruptions like my kids tuitions, my little princess kindy teachers' home visit (and its a pretty teacher :D ) as well as my little princess was down with a mild cough. Thus, its just resting at home and ran some errands as usual in nearby malls. I do had a good time talking to her teachers, not just because they are young and pretty, but I also got to know how she was doing in school. I was delighted to hear that she was actually quite talkative and love to ask questions in class as well as knowing who were her best friends. Well, its a neighbourhood kindy thus most of the students stayed close to each other and we know who's who they are. LOL ...

As usual, we had Japanese food almost once a week as requested by the kids. We just ordered a few simple meals on a Saturday evening before rushing home early since there was classes for my kid on Sunday.

Kani Maki for my kids

Sake and Maguro sushi to share with my wifey

Fried rice for my wifey

My favourite Shiitake mushroom , grilled with salt

Again, my favourite Salmon shioyaki set

And, a Salmon Teriyaki set for my kids
Have a good week!
