Soothsayings

It can be fascinating and interesting reading into 'real' supernatural tales or doomsday predictions like 2012 and etc. With the advent of Internet, all these tales can be easily google and loads of sites and articles about the subject are at your fingertips. While it was fun,  it can also be obsessive once you got interested in it and you may ended up probing the subject till you start worrying about it.

2012 the movie - I like this work of fiction btw.

Back in 2003, one of my ex-colleagues kept on talking about some Planet X crashing into Earth which will takes place in 2003 and that fella did lots of research into it, even at the expense of office hours. He told us countless stories about these stuffs till another colleague of mine can't stand him and move away. I too, instead of the fascinating tale initially during coffee time, tried to shy away from these topics. And, as we all know, it didn't happen. There were too, soothsayers about the year 2K millennium and not forgetting the years when famous comets pass by Earth, stating that these celestial wonders will crash onto Earth.

I feel that let's not waste time (and money)  studying into all these stuffs as it will not help us with our peace of mind. Just 'can't be bother' with it and moved on with the more important stuffs in our lives.

Acts 16:16 - Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling.

  8. Claudia- Just be good, do good and obey HIS words. In fact, my church sermon today stress the importance of obeying God's words.
