It was the eve of a long weekend last Wednesday as it was Labour Day on Thursday and I am taking a day-off on Friday. Well, initially I thought of going to my office to work but seeing that the causeway would be jam and choke like nobody business in the evening, I decided that it's better I leave earlier. After all, with my notebook, I can work anywhere now and it's approved by my organisation. I find that working from home can be more productive as you are alone and nobody disturb you unlike in office where sometimes, we are called for adhoc meetings or just chit-chats with colleagues and etc. Of course, the bad thing is you cannot find the people to talk to on work related matters and always depended on the phone to call.

I had a productive morning, working non-stop from 9+ till 1pm and I decided to take a break. I went for a Japanese set lunch which consisted of a Shoyu Tonkatsu Ramen and Soboro Don. Both are served in small portion but its still quite filling once you finished both. The broth of the ramen was good but I find the Soboro Don was special. It was served with some slices of egg and some sweet mince meat on the rice, making the small bowl a delicious meal.

I got back home to JB afterwards and continued working after that till almost 6+. I think working from home is not a bad idea but then I don't think I can do it frequently. I feel that I still need to interact with folks else my mind will be filled with work matters. LOL

Have a good weekend!

KSL City is one of the happening malls in JB after it was opened few years ago. It was located at the heart of JB city centre where most of the shopping malls have already move into the housing estates, especially at the north. After attending my kid's school open day, we decided to drive to KSL city for lunch. There were a lot of eateries in KSL City and seeing that SDS has just opened an outlet there, we decided to try it. It was also quiet and relaxing with a less crowded restaurant.

I got myself an Aglio Olio since I wanted something light on that day. Somehow, I still prefer linguine to spaghetti as the latter seems thicker.

A kiddy fish and chips meal for my little princess

My wifey shared this salmon pasta with my kid

And, as usual, a cuppa of coffee for me!
It was a rainy Sunday and we go ran our errands after the lunch at Tesco in KSL City. My kid was glad he doesnt have to attend school on that Sunday. It was really a while since we go out as a family on a Sunday, since the new weekend started in JB. :(

One of my deputy directors introduce me to some quality cleaning materials for glasses, lens, laptop screens and etc. He was telling me that since we spent so much on our spectacles or cameras or mobile phones and so on, why settled for a cheap reusable cloth or tissues to wipe your lens? He gave me a few samples to try on and I immediately love it. After cleaning the surface, it was  really clean and I felt even dust would easily blown away from the surface. He recommended me Zeiss , which makes branded lens but after shopping around, I found a cheaper alternative in Glasso as I can't find the former. It cost me S$15 per box which contains 100 disposal  lens cleaning wet tissues. By the way, this is not a paid post.

Got it from Spectacle hut, but my colleague also saw it at Best Denki

Each wet tissue is kept in a small packet.

Just tear off the packet and you got a small wrap of the wet tissue. It was full of antiseptic smell and wet in alcohol.

Open up the wrap and I have to immediately wipe it or else the alcohol will dry out very fast. Usually, it's one tissue for one device but I tried to reuse it by wiping on as many as other devices.
The only thing I dislike about this brand was the strong smell of alcohol or antiseptic, compre to the Zeiss brand, else it would do fine. I am using it to clean my spectacles, phone and tablet, almost every alternate days.  Loving it!! :)
